Diabetes Friendly Recipes

While DDL’s HERO analytical platform is not yet available for wide-spread public use, we (the research team behind the development of this platform) wanted to share some of the food related findings we’ve uncovered to date, and recipes we’ve found to be impactful.  That’s a big component of what this recipe page is all about.

This growing collection of low-carb diabetes-friendly recipes is designed to provide a listing of delicious, easy-to-make food, that goes easy on blood glucose levels.  Each of these recipes have been tested and analyzed using DDL’s advanced analytics platform.  Each has also been shown to consistently help keep these user’s blood glucose levels on the level.

“Let your data be your guide”

DDL MOTO

Correlation to Later Blood Glucose Levels: Yes, the foods listed below are delicious.  Yes, they’re also easy to make.  What differentiates these recipes from what you might find elsewhere, however, is that we’ve tested them to see how they impact DDL’s user’s subsequent blood glucose levels.  We have not found that eating increasing amounts of the foods listed below has been associated with a resulting increase in blood glucose levels for the DDL users that have eaten these foods.  In fact, for several of these recipes, there is a rather significant inverse relationship between eating increasing amounts of these foods and blood glucose.  Translation: Our data indicates that when DDL users eat more of some of these foods, we often see their blood glucose levels go down.  One of the biggest hitters in this category is our DDLicious Guacamole (Yum!).

Test & Learn: Still, analyses we’ve performed to date don’t mean that these foods will have the same effect on everyone.  Understanding and detangling these relationships on a unique, personal, and individual level is really what the HERO platform is all about; and we’re working hard to make the platform more broadly available.  Since everybody and every-body is different, it is important to test the recipes/findings detailed on this site, or really from any source, with your own experience.  Until the HERO platform is more widely available, be sure to keep track of what you’re eating, and keep track of your blood glucose numbers.  If you suspect that something is increasing those numbers, consider minimizing your consumption of that food moving forward.  Also, keep track of your calories, and make sure you’re getting enough.

As you try these recipes for yourself, “Let your data be your guide“.  We hope you find as much success with them, as we have.

Bon Appétit!
